Beer Tasting Night Great Success…

A small but enthusiastic and confident group participated in the inaugural Beer Tasting at the BSRA Club on Wednesday 15 May, hosted by Qian Dickinson and Graham Gibbons of Burrows Lightborne. As the eight beers were poured unbeknownst, the competition was fierce between the stalwart Men on one side of Court 5 and the fair-palette’d Ladies on the other, to guess which beers being sampled were which on the list, one or two showing a savvy tasting methodology. The ‘blind’ tasting proved a challenge to the most experienced of our beer drinkers, some even missing one of their favourites! Can you believe it, Dave? After all eight samples were evaluated, a mystery beer was poured Everyone wrote their best guess on scoring cards and the results were revealed…
Only 3 people correctly picked five out of eight, well done! (Congrats Jen, Podge and Nick), with the others correctly picking four of eight beers. Only 2 of the 12 could identify the mystery beer. To complete the evening, Heineken T-shirts were kindly given out to all by Qian.
