Dear BSRA Members, Sponsors, Partners & Friends,
BERMUDA OPEN 2012
An Official Tour Event
The naming rights for the 2012 Bermuda Open Squash Championships are available for you to buy as title sponsor for a PSA Official World Tour Pro Squash Event.
We are looking for a sponsor wishing to support the BSRA in organizing a Pro Event to be held in early 2012.
This event would feature:
• 16 Player Main Draw with One Wildcard Bermudian
• 16 Player Qualifying with 4 places for Bermudians
• 5 days of top class squash competition
• Pro Clinics for the BSRA Juniors & Members
• Social Events such as Welcome Party & Presentation Party
Two great reasons for supporting this event:
1.
The qualification & Wildcard spots in this event would offer valuable world ranking points
and a great head start to Bermuda’s top players who have just joined the PSA World Tour.
2.
It would be a fantastic event giving BSRA Members and other fans of squash
the chance to watch top class world tour players play here in Bermuda.
If you or your company are interested in finding out more about this fantastic opportunity please contact me on the details below.
Kind Regards,
Patrick Foster

Bermuda Junior Squash Tour- Event 1

Over 40 kids participated in the first event of the Bermuda Junior Squash Tour. An overview of the tour is available HERE . Kyler Knights played with creativity from the front of the court to pull off a big win over a determined Laird Simmons in the finals of the National Squad Division. Laird did not go down without a fight as he pushed forward to intercept the ball in the middle of the court slotting in some lovely volley drops. Knights steadied the ship battling Laird’s pace with consistent medium pace length. Knights leads the tour after the first event with 620 points. Laird Simmons is not far behind with 570. Nazhir Smith and Nic Barton are in the hunt with 530 points and 500 points respectively. Full Tour standings for National Squad is available HERE.
The Intermediate Division showcased a close match between Jacques De Verteuill and Tiye Williams. Williams is showing rapid improvement, especially in her play on the left side. She could prove to be a real threat for the Intermediate Division. Jacques’ steady style of play was too much for his opponents earning him 620 points. Tiye Williams and Shamar Morris tied at 550 points each for second place. Full standings for Intermediate Division are available HERE.
The novice division has a 3 way tie for first place between Diego Richardson, Mackenzie Caslin and Shane White each with 570 points. Trew Morris and Kaleo Place are tied in 4th with 480 points each. It’s anyone guess who will pull through with the Novice Division. Don’t be surprised to see some of our keen Novice Division players working on their serve ramping up for the next event which is Saturday December 17th. Fll standings for NOVICE Division are available HERE.
The Bermuda Junior Squash Tour is made possible by International Fitness Pros, Harrow Sports, Department of Youth, Sport & Recreation as well as the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association. Their generosity is greatly appreciated by our junior program.
