Pictured is National Junior Athlete Award Winner, Nazhir Smith.
Nazhir was selected from the BSRA Junior Programme for outstanding commitment & effort to improving his squash. Nazhir recieved $3855 from the Department of Youth & Sport to support his squash by providing coaching, tournament entry fees, equipment and his expenses covered to attend the Caribbean Junior Squash Championships in Guyana as well as the Canadian Junior Open Championships.

Last Saturday the 30th April a volunteer group of Dave Elliott, Christian Ince, Andrew Mount, Patrick Foster, Christine Johnson,Kathy Keane, Drew Pratt, Micah Franklin, Korin Knights, Kyler, Knights, Kion Knights, Nazhir Smith, Dylan Muldoon, Brandon Johnson, Charlie Taylor, Ethan Furbert, Emma Keane, Madeleine Rose, Dylan Pratt, Nic Barton & Jennifer Ince scrubbed the walls of court 2 clean. The BSRA Curry & Movie night due to be held this Friday 6th May has been postponed. Unfortunately there doesnt seem to be enough interest at the moment so we will try again later in the year.

Heineken Doubles Challenge Night- Friday April 29th Club Night from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Grab a partner and challenge the doubles team of Andrew Mount and fellow Canadian Rafik Bhaloo (former captain of University of Western Ontario Varsity Squash Team). One game, first to 15pts. Register on the Whiteboard outside of court 2. First team to crack the dynamic Canadian duo earns a complimentary Heineken Mini Keg. Doubles action will take place on Court 2. Courts 1, 3 & 4 will be open for regular club night play. Raffle prizes available throughout the evening.

The AXIS Squash Challenge 2011 will be held June 15-18th 2011
The BSRA is pleased to announce that the AXIS Squash Challenge 2011 is confirmed for June 15-18th. The event will feature 16 teams playing a guaranteed 4 matches over 4 days. The teams consist of 3 players (as many reserves as you want) and all players will be handicapped to level the playing standards… the event will also feature a Pro Exhibition Clinic for Kids and Match after the finals on Saturday 18th June.
