Noah Browne of Bermuda had the only win over a talented Barbados squad.  Browne was on his game combining some great gets with some impressive shots.  Bermuda has a bye in the first round of playoffs and continues play Saturday at 9:00am.

The lights went out at South Sound Squash Club during Bermuda vs. T&T Match Thursday evening.  T&T lead the match 2-1 with play to continue Friday at 9:00AM.  The story of the evening was ‘Bermuda Squash Sensation’ Micah Franklin trimming up T&T’s Kale Wilson of Wycliffe College and the 2011 Junior Caribbean individual Champion, 3-0.  Franklin took control of the match from the first rally.  Coach Mount on the match “Micah was all business tonight.  He played well, choosing to take the ball early and dictated the play.  Franklin continues to play better and better as the tournament rolls on.”

Cayman Islands were too much for Bermuda in the first round of play at the Sr. Caribbean Team Championships.  Cayman took the match 5-0.

FRANKLIN OVER ARJOON

Micah Franklin captured 9th place in the Senior Caribbean Individual Championships with a win over Alex Arjoon of Guyana.  Arjoon proved to be too much for Franklin just a few weeks ago at the 2011 Junior Caribbean Individuals Championships which were held in Guyana.  Today Franklin turned things around with a 3-0 victory.  Franklin on his play today” I went into this match relaxed and with a plan.  I was happy with my play and I look forward to good matches during the Teams portion of this event.” 

Bermuda faces Cayman Islands on the first day of the Team Championships.  Bermuda captured the 2010 Senior Caribbean Team Championships and enter this year ranked 3rd behind Jamaica and Barbados.
