Micah Franklin Joins National Junior Athlete Program

Micah was awarded $4170 to cover the costs of traveling to the 15th World Junior Mens Championships in Switzerland and the Canadian Junior Open Squash Championships.
Congratulations and best of luck to Micah in both events, all pics and results will be posted as soon as they happen…
2008 BIAS Educational Tournament coming up soon…

The 2008 BIAS Educational Tournament will be held on 19th/20th April 2008. The tournament is designed for newcomers to squash and is open to kids under the age of 13 and adults over the age of 18 years old.

Summer Squash & Action Camps 2008

Application forms are now available for this summers Squash & Action Camp.
6 weeks of camp are being offered through out July & August by the BSRA. Places are limited to 24 children per week and can be guarenteed only by payment in full.

End of term for the Junior squash program

The junior squash program ends on Saturday this week (March 15th) for a 2 week break before resuming on Saturday April 5th.
Could all parents please make sure the are up to date with payments for the term finishing and for signing your child up for next terms squash.
Sommers & Foster retain National titles…

The finals of the Digicel National Squash Championships 2008 concluded at the weekend with Denise Sommers and Patrick Foster both retaining the titles they won in 2007.
Sommers defeated Leah Bishop in straight games whilst Foster survived a strong challenge from Nick Kyme before taking the match 3-1. In the Ladies Veterans final Liz Martin saw off Denise Kyme and in a reverse of last years final in the men’s veterans, Norman Furtado defeated Richard Brewer.
The event proved to be a massive success with sponsors throwing in a few surprises on finals night such Blackberry phones for the winners,entry fee refunds to all competitors who are Digicel users and a free bar!!
The BSRA bar was very busy for many hours of celebrating following the finals. All the pictures and results will be available at the Digicel page soon…..
