BSRA Announces 2012 AXIS Squash Challenge, Pro Clinic and Pro Exhibition…

The BSRA is pleased to announce the 3rd annual AXIS Squash Challenge 2012.

Entries are now being accepted but space is limited so sign your team up fast!

The event features a 16 team draw with all teams guarenteed 4 matches over 4 days from Wednesday June 13th – Saturday June 16th.

It’s SQUASH-A-THON time…

This Friday 11th May over 50 kids will be playing non stop squash for 19 hours through till 12.00pm the next day. It’s all to raise money for the Bermuda National Junior Team travelling to Jamaica to play in the Caribbean Championships this summer.

BSRA PREMIER LEAGUE: Gold

Things heat up tonight at BSRA with action getting underway for the first night of BSRA PREMIER LEAGUE: Gold. BSRA PREMIER LEAGUE is comprised of three divisions: Platinum, Gold and Silver.

The Platinum division took place in February with Tommy Sherratt and Laura Robinson taking top place and earning a case of Barefoot wine each. The league operates under a grand prix format whereby players accumulate points based on their placing in the draw each week. The draw format varies each week to include:

wk 1- 8 player draw
wk 2- coed team format based on ranking from wk 1
wk 3 Monrad/Swiss draw

BSRA PREMIER LEAGUE Champions are determined by total points accumulated at the completion of wk 3. Barefoot Wine & Bubbly is our major sponsor supplying our men’s and women’s champion with a case of wine of their choice.

World Distributors Bermuda Tire Charity Squash Tournament 2012

The BSRA is please to announce 2012 World Distributors Bermuda Tire Charity Squash Tournament 2012. The tournament is to be held June 1-3rd and will include 3 Men’s Divisions of which the Men’s A Draw will be an official PSA World Ranking Event. The 2012 Tournament will also offer 2 ladies divisions with all competitors guarenteed 3 matches over the weekend.

Dates: Friday June 1st-3rd

Entries Close: Friday May 25th

Franklin wins First ever Racketball Tournament at BSRA

Micah Franklin beat Stephen Smith in the first ever Racketball tournament to be held at the BSRA.

Bermuda Junior Squash Tour Event 4

Beckett Simmons places first in the National Squad division of Event 4 on the Bermuda Junior Squash Tour. Beckett hit some tight off pace length during critical points of the final match pushing Kion Knights into difficult defensive positions. Laird Simmons still holds the lead after 4 events with Beckett in 2nd and Kion in 3rd. National squad standings are available HERE.

Event 4 of the Intermediate division saw a three way tie between Ethan Furbert, Ryan Hopkins and Brian Darling. Furbert shot into first place on the tour with Hopkins trailing in second place by 100 points. Intermediate standings are available HERE.

Ben Darling and Shane White shared first place in Event 4. Kaleo Place finished in 3rd place. Shane White still leads the Novice division with 2333 points Kaleo Place is in second with 1845 and Ben Darling moved into third place with 1575. Novice division standings are available at: HERE.
