Club Manager – Dave Elliott
David joined the club as manager in September 2002 although he has been involved with the club for over 10 years now. Best described as an enthusiastic squash player (turns up on court!!). He also compiles the monthly quiz which is very popular with the members. Married to Diane, who tempted him to move from the UK to Bermuda. Director of Squash – Patrick Foster
Patrick Foster Patrick competed on the PSA Professional Squash Tour for four years reaching a highest ranking of #69. In his career he reached four semi finals, three finals and had one tournament win in the Hi-Tec Czech Open in May 2002. Patrick was also an Irish International player with over 50 caps competing in the European & World Team Championships and had finished third in the Irish National Championships three times. He spent two years working for Manchester City Council as Community Sports Development Officer. This role involved working with many groups to increase sports participation levels and tackle community problems by promoting healthier lifestyles. Patrick is an England Squash Level Two Qualified Club Coach with experience of coaching at all levels. He has worked in many clubs across the UK and since starting with the BSRA in February 2005 has taken over the running of a thriving squash program including schools, beginners, intermediate and national squad sessions. Patrick represented Bermuda for the first time at the 2006 Rosebowl Championships in Cayman and successfully defended his Bermuda National Title in February this year. Now in his 4th year at the BSRA, Patrick took over from Ross Triffitt as Director of Squash in September 2008. Contact him at patrickf@bermudasquash.com
Assistant Director of Squash – Andrew Mount
Andrew is the new BSRA Assistant Director of Squash working specifically with the National Squads, developing the BSRA Squash Program and working with all area’s of the club. Andrew comes to us from Canada where he has worked for Squash Canada as a Techniacl supervisor before becoming assisant pro at the London Ontario Racquets Club and working as Coach for the University of Western Ontario.
Andrew won the Sir Michael Edwardes Doubles Championships with partner Peter Cooper in the first week of being in Bermuda! Hopefully his run of success…
BSRA Coaches – Mel Caines
Mel is one of Bermuda’s most experienced players have travelled all over the worl competing in events such as Pan Am Games, Caribbean Championships, World Championships, CAC Games. Mel currently runs the Community Education Class held on Saturday mornings for beginner level squash players. Mel also works with the Junior Program on Saturday afternoons throughout the year.
BSRA Coaches – Micah Franklin
Micah is Bermuda’s National Junior Champion and at age 18 is now a qualified coach. Micah, although travelling and competeing a lot at the moment, assists with Saturday Junior Squash and the mid week youth clubs when on the island.
BSRA Coaches – Korin Knights
Korin is one of Bermuda’s brighest young stars and also 18 years old, now a qualified squash coach. Korin assists with running the Community Education Class and the Saturday Junior Squash Programme.
